So as the start of National Novel Writing month approaches, I’ve allowed my mind to wander to the likes of plot from time to time. I’ve got two current ideas that I’m tossing around — one being a sword & sorcery caper that is an affectionate (but slightly piss-taking) look at dungeons and dragons and the bits that RPGs miss out, and the other is a crime/thriller thingy that I’ve explored in my head a little once before.

As you can see, these are not exactly two threads I could weave into the same plot. Eleven days to go before kick-off. Still plenty of time for the rest of you to join up, if you feel that you might potentially have a novel inside you (although this year my target is a bit lower: simply to write more words than last year, when I took part but managed none)…
