TPis is The Pickards Information Services provide information services, from the high level — consultancy, project management, project scoping and training — through to the nitty-gritty of inidividual developments — site/application design, development, testing and deployment, as well as data cleansing and data migrations.

About Jack Pickard

I am a developer based (mostly) in the North East of England. I now work in the private sector, but have spent almost ten years working in the public sector and still care deeply about it. In addition to that, I am passionate about web accessibility, web standards, Newcastle United, good quality beer, and my wife and children, although not necessarily in that order. I also have an interest in local and family history and have spent some time researching my family tree, which is available on an archived part of the site.

The Web Chemist

When designing sites, I used to sometimes wonder where a flash of inspiration for a particular idea came from and imagined a scenario where there was a little mad scientist in my head with a white lab coat and a bubbling test tube shouting "Eureka" …and then possibly turning into Mr Hyde.
